Business students recently had the opportunity to visit TOMTAŞ Aviation and Technology Inc., one of Turkey’s emerging aviation and technology companies. The technical trip, organized to broaden students’ understanding of industry practices and innovation, provided valuable insights into the operations and strategic objectives of the aviation sector.
TOMTAŞ is an aviation company established in 2023 in partnership between TUSAŞ-Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc., TOMTAŞ Investment Inc., ASFAT Inc., and Erciyes Technology Park Inc. and has quickly developed national and international partnerships. During the visit, students were welcomed by representatives from TOMTAŞ who introduced the company’s history, mission and ongoing work in the aviation and aerospace field.
The tour included a detailed look at the company’s facilities and a presentation on how aviation technology firms function in practice — from design and manufacturing to quality assurance and future growth plans. The students were particularly engaged in discussions about technology applications, career opportunities, and the importance of collaboration between business disciplines and technical industries.
This visit was part of AGÜ’s commitment to strengthen industry-university collaboration and to prepare future business leaders with real-world exposure to innovative enterprises.
