The financial resources required for the recruitment and academic development of the faculty members in our department are provided from the university’s general budget. Salaries and additional course payments of academic staff are financed through the state budget in accordance with current legislation. The Academic Incentive Award, implemented by our university in line with the criteria determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), offers additional support to faculty members who meet specified performance standards. Accordingly, academic personnel engaged in internationally indexed publications, project leadership, patents, and doctoral supervision receive financial encouragement that enhances both their productivity and motivation.
Through the Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit (BAP), faculty members are granted financial support for participation in national and international projects. Within this framework, academic staff of the department may conduct individual or joint projects with students under TÜBİTAK programs and benefit from available funding opportunities. In addition, travel support is provided to academic staff participating in international collaborations and overseas academic activities.
Participation of faculty members in domestic and international congresses, conferences, and other scientific events contributing to academic development is supported by the relevant university units. Such participation is financed in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 2547 on Higher Education and governed transparently under university senate decisions. These mechanisms ensure the enhancement of faculty quality and the sustainability of academic development.
The faculty employs four administrative personnel who ensure the effective and orderly implementation of administrative processes in line with their defined duties. The department maintains a dedicated secretariat responsible for coordinating correspondence between the faculty and the department, preparing Department Council decisions, implementing official directives received from the Dean’s Office, and ensuring timely dissemination of meeting announcements. The secretariat also manages correspondence concerning annual leave, reports, assignments, and other personnel-related procedures, forwarding them to the Dean’s Office within the required timeframe.
All administrative correspondence within the faculty is conducted via the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS), which enables efficient digital monitoring of documents. This system safeguards the continuity of academic and administrative processes while reinforcing the effectiveness, functionality, and student-centered sustainability of the undergraduate program.
